Max Carpenter Hyattsville MD Obituary - Max Carpenter Death - Actor: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Max Carpenter Dies

Max Carpenter, a Hyattsville, MD native and talented actor, has passed away. Max was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Prince George's County, where he made his mark early on as a member of the Hyattsville Middle School's county championship-winning Science Bowl Team. 

His academic and athletic prowess continued into his high school years at a prestigious D.C. prep school. There, he shined as a wrestler, placing 3rd in the city wrestling championships at the 171 lb weight class during both his junior and senior years, even wrestling with a broken ankle.


At 17, Max moved to New York City to pursue his passion for acting, enrolling in the BFA program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. His determination and talent quickly propelled him into the professional world, where he began working in commercials, television, theatre, and film. 

Max's diverse experiences in NYC, including stints as a bike messenger, HVAC technician, and bus mechanic, provided him with unique insights and a rich background that he infused into his acting roles.

Max was renowned for his versatility with languages and his masterful command of various dialects. However, he became particularly celebrated for his portrayals of complex villains. 

His standout performance as Jeremy Jones in the popular series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" garnered him significant acclaim. He continued to captivate audiences with his chilling portrayal of Dawson, a cold-blooded biker in the upcoming film "Freaky Tales," starring Pedro Pascal, Tom Hanks, and Jack Champion.

Max's journey in the entertainment industry was marked by dedication and a relentless pursuit of excellence. His ability to draw from his eclectic experiences and bring authenticity to his characters made him a beloved figure in the acting community.
