4 PEOPLE INJURED AFTER 89-YEAR-OLD MAN SUFFERS POSSIBLE MEDICAL EPISODE, CRASHES IN BENSONHURST


In Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, a concerning incident unfolded when an 89-year-old man experienced a potential medical emergency while behind the wheel, resulting in a series of collisions involving pedestrians and vehicles.

According to the police report, the elderly driver lost control of his vehicle, first colliding with a man riding a scooter, then striking a parked car occupied by a 20-year-old individual, and finally hitting a pedestrian on the sidewalk. As a result of these collisions, four individuals sustained injuries.

Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene and transported all four injured parties to Maimonides Hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the victims were reported to be non-life-threatening, and they are expected to recover fully.

The police investigation into the incident suggests that the driver may have experienced a medical episode prior to losing control of his vehicle.
