Shooting in Lowell MA Today - Shooting in Lowell home leaves two people dead, one injured

According to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, a tragic shooting occurred in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Friday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and the injury of a third. 

Police were dispatched to a residence on South Walker Street at approximately midnight in response to reports of firearms. The incident took place there. 


Upon their arrival, they found a woman and a man with gunfire wounds inside the residence. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, and authorities confirmed that his injury was self-inflicted.

The woman was promptly transported to a hospital in the Boston area after suffering a critical injury. She was subsequently declared deceased, despite the endeavors to save her. 

The identities of the deceased have not yet been disclosed, and authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances that precipitated this tragic incident.

Police located a third victim, a juvenile, who had also been wounded, in a separate location on Wilder Street. The juvenile victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. The juvenile's age has not been disclosed, and it is still uncertain how he is connected to the other victims.

The investigators are of the opinion that the incident was an isolated occurrence and that all of the individuals involved were acquainted with one another. 

They also believe that there is no ongoing threat to the community. The information regarding the events preceding the shooting is still being investigated, and authorities have not yet disclosed additional details.

This catastrophic event has caused the Lowell community to feel apprehensive as they await additional details. Further updates will be provided as additional information becomes available, as the authorities continue to work assiduously to reconstruct the events of that evening. Currently, the community is in mourning over the loss of two lives and is optimistic about the young survivor's rehabilitation.
