It is with heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of legendary Viroqua baseball coach Pete Swanson yesterday. Pete has been a cornerstone of Viroqua baseball for the past 50 years, dedicating half a century to nurturing young talent and promoting the sport he loved so dearly. 

His unwavering commitment to baseball and his community has left an indelible mark on the state, inspiring countless players, coaches, and fans alike.

Throughout his illustrious career, Pete Swanson embodied the true spirit of sportsmanship and dedication. His passion for the game was matched only by his genuine kindness and class, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met.
