WHITE HALL, Ark. – In a harrowing incident that unfolded on Saturday afternoon, White Hall police reported the deaths of three individuals following an armed standoff.
The tragic events took place in a residence on Lakeview Drive, where officers responded to reports of a man who had barricaded himself inside the home after killing two other individuals.

Upon arrival, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team was immediately called to the scene. Despite making contact with the suspect, efforts to persuade him to surrender were unsuccessful. As tensions heightened, SWAT team members prepared for possible forced entry.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., SWAT team members breached the home after hearing a gunshot from inside. Once inside, they discovered the grim scene: two victims who had succumbed to gunshot wounds, and the suspect, also deceased, from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The victims have been identified as 52-year-old Patrice McDaniel and her 14-year-old daughter. Both had suffered fatal gunshot injuries. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Jason Rogers, is believed to have taken his own life after the tragic killings.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that all three bodies have been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy to further investigate the circumstances surrounding their deaths. The coroner's office is working diligently to determine the precise cause and manner of death for each individual.
The investigation into this devastating event is ongoing, as authorities seek to understand the motivations and events leading up to the standoff. This incident has left the White Hall community in deep mourning, grappling with the sudden and violent loss of lives.
