Born on May 20, 1933, in Staten Island, New York, Patricia Buckley Moss demonstrated an early passion for art. Her unique perspective and talent were evident from a young age, leading her to pursue formal art education at the prestigious Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City. It was here that she honed her skills and developed her distinctive style that would later become her signature.


Moss’s journey as an artist took a significant turn when she moved to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. The picturesque landscapes and the simplicity of rural life deeply influenced her work.
