LAKE TEXOMA, Okla. (KXII) - A missing Lake Texoma boater has been found dead after five days of intensive searching.
Scott Hampton with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that the body of a male was recovered near Washita Point around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
The body will be sent to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification and to determine the cause of death.
Family members identified the boater as 32-year-old Zach Doyle of Cartwright. He reportedly went overboard near Sunset Cove in Cartwright last Friday around 7 p.m. The family confirmed on Facebook that the body found is Doyle’s.
The search operation involved multiple agencies, including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Cartwright Fire Department, and Colbert Fire Department Dive Team.
