T'Montez Hurt is a freshman at Missouri Western State University. The 19-year-old originally hails from St. Louis.
On Thursday, February 1st, Hurt was in Kansas City with a friend when he made an early morning phone call to his grandmother, Tecona Donald-Sullivan. During the call, Hurt sounded scared and terrified, indicating he was in some type of mental distress.
Concerned, Donald-Sullivan contacted Kansas City police, who located Hurt and took him to Saint Luke's Hospital. He was released after a few hours of observation.
According to his grandmother, Hurt was then taken by a Z Trip Taxi to the Greyhound bus station. However, the station was closed when he arrived just before noon.
Surveillance video shows Hurt trying to get back into the taxi after realizing he had left his phone inside, but he was unsuccessful.
Hurt was last seen walking south near 77th Street and Troost Avenue. He has now been missing for four months.
