Nicholas Southwick Ammon Obituary : Nic Southwick Death : Nicholas Brent Southwick Passed Away At Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center

Nicholas Brent Southwick, 26, of Ammon, passed away on June 3, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.


Nic was born on May 3, 1998, in Kirksville, Missouri, to Boyd Kimball Southwick and Heidi Lynn Inama Southwick. He grew up in Idaho Falls, attended local schools, and graduated from Hillcrest High School as both Valedictorian and Student Body President. 

He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration from BYU-I. At the time of his passing, Nic was working as the Human Resource Director at Family First Medical Center, a role he cherished.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nic served as a missionary at the Provo MTC Referral Center. He had a deep love for sports, especially as an avid fan of the BYU Cougars. 

Nic also had a passion for all things Star Wars and adored his dog, Kiki. Above all, he treasured his family and valued every moment spent with them.

Nic is survived by his parents; his brother, Derek (Kaylea) Southwick of Muncie, IN; his sister, Savannah (Hyrum) Baggett of Rexburg, ID; his niece, Daisy Southwick; his grandmothers, Diane Inama and Marilyn Southwick; and his grandparents, Lynn and Karen Griggs.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bob Inama and Neal Southwick.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Long Cove Ward, 1925 East 49th South, with Bishop Tim Ross officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 6:30-8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m., both visitations at the church. Burial will follow at Ammon Cemetery.
