Christopher Bernard Starr, Sr., age 41, of Uniontown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Chris was an unstoppable force with a larger-than-life personality and an unmatched witty sense of humor. Those close to him knew he would do anything for anyone, and his hard work was evident to all who knew him.
He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother who lived for his family and is truly irreplaceable. Chris found joy in spending time with his wife and boys, loved being outdoors, and cherished camping with family and friends. A diehard football fan, he believed in "Columbus on Saturdays and Pittsburgh on Sundays."
He found peace sitting around a fire and listening to music. Chris enjoyed traveling with his family, with memorable trips to the beach and riding coasters with his boys at Disney World. He dedicated nearly twenty years of his life to ODOT, where he loved his work and made many lifelong friends.
Chris's impact on those around him was immense, and he left us far too soon. We are all better for having known him. In his honor, please pour a glass of bourbon and hold it high for Chris.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Rachel; his three young boys, CJ, Nicholas, and Jonathan; his father, Bernie; and his sister, Holly (Michael) Hogston. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy.
Calling hours for Chris will be held on Saturday, June 8th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Evermore Community Church, 1470 Smith-Kramer St NE, Hartville, OH 44632. A service celebrating his life will immediately follow at 3:00 pm.
In keeping with Chris’s generous spirit, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, you make a meaningful contribution to your favorite charity.
