John Wallace UofL Obituary : John Wallace Death : Former Cardinals placekicker John Wallace dead at 31

The passing of John Wallace, a former placekicker for the University of Louisville, occurred on Wednesday. His age was 31. However, the University of Louisville did not provide any information regarding the cause of death. 



Wallace, who was born and raised in Elizabethtown, participated in the sport of football while attending Central Hardin High School. As a senior, he made 11 of 14 field goals and was rated as a two-star talent by Rivals.com!
 


The Cardinals were coached by Charlie Strong and Bobby Petrino throughout his time with the team, which spanned from 2012 until 2015. With Wallace's assistance, the University of Louisville was able to make four consecutive bowl berths, including a victory over Florida in the Sugar Bowl in 2013. 


He was responsible for two field goals that were kicked during the victory over the Gators, which was 33-23. During the 2012 season, Wallace kicked a total of 16 of 21 kicks and made 10 of his first 11 kicks to begin the season.


One of his attempts from 57 yards out was unsuccessful. During the same year, he achieved a victory over Cincinnati by kicking a field goal from thirty yards out, which resulted in a 34-31 victory for the Cardinals. 


During his four years at the University of Louisville, Wallace made 66 field goals, which is still the record for most field goals made at the university. 


He is the son of Carla and Patrick Wallace, and he attended the University of Louisville, where he majored in finance.
