Jaz Hinton Obituary NZ : Jaz Hinton Death : Otago University Student Jaz Hinton Passed Away

On Saturday, the 18th of May 2024, our beautiful and talented boy, Jaz Hinton, was suddenly taken from us while attending Otago University. Jaz was a bright light in all our lives, full of potential and promise, and his unexpected passing has left an immeasurable void in our hearts.

We wish to bring Jaz back to our family home in New Plymouth. This journey is not only a physical one but an emotional one, as we seek to surround him with the love, warmth, and support of family and friends before we lay him to rest. Having him close to us in these final moments is deeply important to our family as we begin to navigate this heartbreaking loss.

The cost to fly Jaz home is $10,000. It’s a significant amount, and in the midst of our grief, it presents a financial challenge that adds to the already overwhelming burden of losing a child. 

To help alleviate this stress, we are setting up this fundraising page. We hope to relieve the financial strain on Brad and Floss (Carolyn) during this incredibly difficult time, allowing them to focus on honoring Jaz’s memory and beginning the healing process.

Brad and Floss have always been pillars of strength and support for so many, and now they need our help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and will be deeply appreciated.
