With profound and heartbreaking sorrow, we announce the untimely death of Gina Schaffer, a cherished member of our community.

Gina, who was widely recognized for her leadership in worship alongside her twin sister, Dinah, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, was tragically killed in a traffic accident in Wyoming on Thursday, August 1. Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Gina's presence was a beacon of light and inspiration for many. Her leadership and musical contributions were integral to the worship services at Resurrection Lutheran Church, where she and Dinah shared their gifts and touched the lives of countless individuals.

Gina's dedication and passion for her faith and community were evident in every aspect of her involvement, making her loss all the more poignant for those who had the privilege of knowing her.

In response to this profound tragedy, Resurrection Lutheran Church will be hosting a community gathering and prayer vigil to honor Gina's memory. The event is scheduled for tonight, August 2, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.

This gathering aims to provide a space for grieving, reflection, and support for fellow students and community members. The church extends an invitation to anyone who wishes to attend, regardless of age, as a way to come together in solidarity and offer comfort during this difficult time.

The vigil will offer an opportunity for the community to celebrate Gina's life, share memories, and find solace in each other’s presence.

Her contributions to the church and the lives she touched will be remembered with deep gratitude and love. As the community comes together to honor Gina Schaffer, we are reminded of the lasting impact she made and the enduring legacy of her spirit.
