ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Authorities are currently in the preliminary stages of investigating a tragic fatal shooting that occurred in Anderson County. Early on Saturday morning, deputies from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a distress call on North Prince Street in Anderson concerning a shooting incident.
Upon arrival, they discovered Brittany Shanticiera Sullivan, 34, from Greenville, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, Sullivan ultimately succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office reported that Sullivan was visiting a friend at the residence where the shooting transpired.
The preliminary investigation suggests that they were abruptly awoken by the sound of gunshots fired at the house. One of the bullets penetrated the home and struck Sullivan, leading to her untimely death.
The Coroner’s Office has officially ruled Sullivan’s death as a homicide, and an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday to further examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
