State Police confirmed that at least one person was killed in the collision, though the identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

The crash caused significant disruption, leading to the closure of I-495 northbound. Traffic was diverted off the highway at Route 105, creating considerable delays for commuters. After several hours, the roadway was reopened to traffic.

A comprehensive investigation is underway, with personnel from various State Police units, including the Middleborough Barracks, the Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit (CARS), the Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS), and the Plymouth County Detective Unit, arriving at the scene.
