It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Vishal Dembla on July 4, 2024. Vishal was not only a cherished son, brother, and father but also an extraordinary individual who touched countless lives with his warmth, intelligence, and boundless energy.
From a young age, Vishal had an insatiable drive to excel. His career saw him rise to prominent leadership roles and travel the world as he always wanted. However, Vishal’s favorite role in life was always being a father to Svaara and Maahir.
The love and joy he found in fatherhood were unmatched, and his children were his greatest pride and joy. He cherished every moment spent with them, and his love and guidance will forever be a part of their lives.
Vishal was a pillar of strength and support for our family. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication were constants that we relied upon. He was a mentor and friend to many, always willing to lend an ear or offer sage advice.
As we remember Vishal, just two things are left to say: he was always in a hurry, and once he was done with something, nothing could ever bring him back to it. This is true for him in life as it is in his death.
In 2019, Dembla was appointed as the chief commercial officer for Southeast Asia at HOOQ. According to his LinkedIn profile, he left the organization in 2020. His recent role was senior vice president for Asia at The Economist.
