In a tragic incident unfolding in Oshawa, a community is reeling from the aftermath of a double homicide that occurred on Saturday afternoon.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) responded swiftly to reports of gunfire and discovered a man critically wounded.
Identified as 42-year-old Patrick Montgomery, he was swiftly transported by ambulance to a nearby high school, where an Ornge air ambulance awaited to rush him to a Toronto hospital. Tragically, Montgomery succumbed to his injuries during the transport.
The grim situation further unfolded as officers located another victim just meters away at a residence. Andrieana Montgomery, also 42 years old, was found with fatal gunshot wounds and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The discovery led to the apprehension of Mark Gordon, a 30-year-old from Oshawa, who was taken into custody without resistance.
