This morning, a tragic accident in Prince George’s County claimed the lives of three individuals, prompting an investigation by the Maryland State Police. Isaiah Hazel and Khyree Jackson were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Anthony Lytton, Jr. was transported to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The fatal crash involved three vehicles: a maroon Dodge Charger, a silver Infiniti Q50, and a silver Chevrolet Impala. The crash occurred shortly after 3:14 a.m. on northbound Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue and Presidential Parkway, north of Dower House Road in Upper Marlboro.

Isaiah Hazel was driving the Dodge Charger.

Khyree Jackson was the front seat passenger.

Anthony Lytton, Jr. was seated in the rear.

According to initial reports, the driver of the Infiniti, identified as Cori Clingman, was traveling northbound on Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue at a high rate of speed. Investigators believe Clingman attempted to change lanes, striking the Dodge Charger and then the Chevrolet Impala. This caused the Dodge Charger to veer off the road, striking multiple tree stumps before coming to rest.

Cori Clingman had two passengers in her Infiniti, none of whom were injured. The driver of the Chevrolet Impala was also uninjured and refused medical treatment at the scene. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration assisted with road closures following the accident. The northbound lanes of Route 4/Pennsylvania Road were reopened at 10:20 a.m. today.

Preliminary investigations suggest that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash. Charges are pending as the investigation continues, with consultation from the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

The deaths of Isaiah Hazel, Khyree Jackson, and Anthony Lytton, Jr. have left the community in mourning. They were beloved members of their respective communities, and their loss is felt deeply by family, friends, and neighbors.

The Maryland State Police urge anyone with information related to the crash to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation. The community is reminded to exercise caution and responsibility while driving, especially regarding speed and alcohol consumption, to prevent such tragedies in the future.

This tragic incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers on the road and the importance of safe driving practices. The thoughts and prayers of the community go out to the families and friends of the victims during this difficult time.
