Kristin Ann Jones, age 43, of Ogdensburg, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Born on October 24, 1980, she was the cherished daughter of David and Kathy (Handrich) Pethke.
Kristin’s early years were marked by her confirmation at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa and her graduation from Little Wolf High School in 1999. She went on to earn an Associate Degree in Business Management from Fox Valley Technical College.
Kristin, alongside her mother, successfully ran the Drive Inn in Manawa for nine years. For the last eight years, she served as an Events Coordinator at Rawhide Youth Services in New London.
A devoted mother and wife, Kristin and her husband Jason cherished their greatest accomplishment—parenting their daughter, Peyton. Kristin enjoyed fishing and spending quality time with her family, especially at her parents' cottage in Phillips.
Her strong faith in her Savior was evident throughout her life, and she remained an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. Kristin is survived by her loving husband, Jason, and their daughter, Peyton.
She also leaves behind her parents, David and Kathy Pethke; her mother-in-law, Carrie (Larry) Katerzynske; her father-in-law, Kirk (Wanda) Jones; her brother, Brad (Emily) Pethke; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law:
Ashley (Mike) Murphy, Lindsey (Ben) Uvaas, Garrett (Lauren) Katerzynske; and her nieces and nephews: Aaron, Annelise, and Leona Pethke; McKenna Tennesen, Henley Murphy, Everett and Kit Uvaas, and Atticus Katerzynske. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Kristin was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Lucille Pethke; her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Verna Handrich; her uncle, Russell Handrich; and Jason's grandparents, William and Betty Albright and Howard and Agnes Palmer.
The funeral service for Kristin will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa (742 Depot St.) with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. She will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery in Symco. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 4-7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Memorials in Kristin’s name may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
