Bella, whose real name was Isabella Thomson, became a viral sensation for her sparkling personality and bravery while battling life-threatening conditions.
Bella’s mother, Kyla Thomson, shared the heartbreaking news on Monday. “Our brave girl left her legacy here on earth to dance on streets of gold July 14th 2024 at 4:19 p.m. ET,” Kyla announced, posting a touching video of Bella dancing joyfully in a purple dress.

“Bella passed peacefully in our arms,” she continued. “Please keep her name on your lips, her memories alive and her bravery in your hearts. Please share with us every detail of how she touched your life or kept you brave.”
Kyla’s message highlighted Bella’s enduring legacy, emphasizing her daughter’s wish for everyone to remember that “God is love, be brave and you are never too old to bring a stuffy 🧸.”
Bella became a beloved figure on TikTok, captivating hearts with her positivity and strength despite facing significant health challenges. She battled Hirschsprung’s disease, a rare bowel illness, and severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), which required constant medical care and numerous treatments.
Hirschsprung’s disease affects the large intestine and can cause severe constipation and intestinal blockages, as detailed by the Mayo Clinic. In August, Bella underwent a bowel transplant, an arduous procedure that she remarkably recovered from faster than any other child with a similar transplant, as Kyla proudly shared.
However, Bella’s health declined last week due to a viral lung infection and subsequent complications. She was placed in a medically induced coma at Toronto’s SickKids hospital to manage her condition, but her health showed no signs of improvement.
Despite the valiant efforts of her medical team, Bella's condition remained critical. On Sunday, July 14th, Kyla shared an update on Instagram, revealing that Bella was still fighting but her future remained uncertain. “I don’t know which way things are gonna go,” she wrote.
In the wake of Bella’s passing, Kyla expressed the profound loss felt by all who knew Bella. “Everything is hard without her,” she confessed in a statement to People.
