We mourn the loss of Harris County Sheriff's Office Deputy Fernando Esqueda (28), who tragically passed away after being shot while protecting our community. 
Deputy Esqueda was a five-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and served our community with unwavering dedication as a member of the HCSO Violent Person Task Force. 

His commitment to protecting and serving the residents of Harris County was evident in his everyday actions and his unwavering dedication to his duties.


Deputy Esqueda's tragic passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire community. Known for his bravery and dedication, Deputy Esqueda was a pillar of strength and integrity. 

His service went beyond just fulfilling his duties; he embodied the values of honor, courage, and compassion, consistently demonstrating an exemplary work ethic and a profound commitment to justice and community safety.
