Ronald Erick Gay, age 42, of Wake Forest, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. Known for his jovial and caring personality, Ronald left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a beloved husband, father, son, and friend who always put others before himself. His sense of humor and compassionate nature endeared him to many in his community.


Born and raised in Wake Forest, Ronald attended Wake Forest High School, where he was a standout athlete and an honor student. He continued his education at North Carolina State University, earning a degree in mechanical engineering. His career was marked by dedication and excellence, and he was well-respected in his field.

Ronald was deeply committed to his family. He married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, and they shared a loving and supportive partnership for over 20 years. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Ethan and Olivia, who were the light of his life. Ronald was a devoted father who enjoyed coaching his children's sports teams and participating in their school activities.

In his free time, Ronald was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hiking, fishing, and camping, often organizing trips with his family and friends.
