ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - In a tragic incident that has shaken the Atlanta community, Chad Dillon, a prominent local business owner, was found shot to death in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood on Tuesday. 


The incident occurred at 480 John Wesley Dobbs Ave. NE, a location notably close to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. 

Atlanta police responded to the scene where they discovered a Rolls-Royce in the midst of the shooting area, a detail that underscores the gravity and high-profile nature of the crime. 

Chad Dillon, identified by his attorney Malcolm Conner, was fatally shot near a site where he was planning to launch a new Jamaican restaurant. Dillon, who previously owned The Boiler Seafood & Crab Boil in Buckhead, was well-regarded for his commitment to community service. 

In 2022, he spoke with Atlanta News First about his dedication to providing second chances for convicted felons, reflecting his broader mission to make a positive impact on society.

The police report indicates that a 33-year-old man, who has not yet been named, was found at the scene with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite receiving medical attention, the man was in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries.
