Caltrain Accident Today - Police Investigating Fatal Caltrain Accident In Palo Alto

A tragic incident occurred today involving a Caltrain in Palo Alto. 

Around 3:09 p.m., northbound Caltrain 513 struck a vehicle at the Charleston Road crossing between the California and San Antonio stations.

The train was carrying 96 passengers at the time, and thankfully, no injuries have been reported among them.

Emergency responders and transit police were quick to arrive at the scene. The vehicle involved was promptly removed from the tracks, allowing train operations to resume at reduced speeds on Main Track 2. 

The circumstances leading to the vehicle being on the tracks are still under investigation, and further details from authorities are awaited.
