Anthony Myers Lancaster NY Obituary - Anthony Myers Death - Lancaster Fire Department Junior Firefighter Anthony Myers Died After Battling Mental Health

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of 19-year-old Anthony Myers, who left us on Wednesday. Anthony’s journey with our community began in a truly inspiring manner.

As a young and passionate individual, he joined our Junior Firefighter Program, where he quickly demonstrated his dedication and enthusiasm for service. His commitment and eagerness to contribute were evident from the start, and it was clear that he had a bright future ahead of him.

Upon turning 18, Anthony officially joined the Protective Hose Company, where he continued to impress everyone with his exemplary work ethic and unwavering dedication.

Despite his brief tenure with our department, his presence was profoundly felt. Anthony’s infectious smile and positive attitude had a way of lifting the spirits of those around him, creating a warm and encouraging environment.

His peers and mentors alike were struck by his enthusiasm and the genuine passion he brought to every task he undertook. Anthony’s journey eventually took him to the Rescue Hose Company in Cheektowaga, where he continued to make an impact.

His transition to this new role was marked by the same qualities that had endeared him to us—dedication, hard work, and a bright, engaging personality. Anthony’s ability to connect with others and his commitment to his role were a testament to his character and his love for the firefighting community.

During this time of sorrow, we ask that you keep Anthony, his family, and his many friends in your thoughts and prayers. The loss of someone so young and full of potential is profoundly felt by all who knew him. Anthony’s legacy is one of service, kindness, and a relentless spirit, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.

As we mourn this tragic loss, we also celebrate Anthony’s life and the positive impact he made during his time with us. His contributions to our community and the fire service will not be forgotten, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
