Troy Messenger Accident : Heather Minton Obituary : Heather Minton and Another Killed in Pike County Car Accident

Brundidge Police Chief Sam C. Green announced that the Brundidge Police Department is currently investigating a tragic motor vehicle crash that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The fatal incident occurred on Pike County Road 4421 in Brundidge on Thursday evening.


Among the victims was Heather Minton, a 40-year-old resident of Troy, who succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Additionally, a juvenile passenger in the vehicle was airlifted to a medical facility but tragically passed away due to the severity of their injuries.

Chief Green reported that six other victims involved in the accident were transported to nearby medical facilities. Fortunately, these individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.

The cause of the crash remains undetermined at this time. The Brundidge Police Department is collaborating with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the Pike County Coroner’s Office, and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office to conduct a thorough investigation. Authorities are working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the accident to determine its cause and any contributing factors.

Chief Green expressed his deepest condolences and prayers to the families affected by this tragic event. He acknowledged the profound impact such a loss has on the community and emphasized the importance of supporting one another during this difficult time.
