Trace Davidson, born on September 24, 2001, in San Antonio, Texas, was a beloved member of his community who left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Raised by his devoted parents, Greg and Shelly Davidson, Trace grew up in an environment filled with love and support. His early years were marked by a strong sense of family and a deep connection to his community, traits that would define his character throughout his life.
Trace attended Choctaw High School, where he graduated in 2021. During his time at Choctaw High, he made many friends and was known for his cheerful and kind-hearted nature. Trace had a natural ability to connect with others, and his friends and teachers admired his genuine and caring personality. After graduating, he pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by starting his own lawn care business. His dedication and hard work quickly earned him a reputation for reliability and excellence in his work.
One of Trace's greatest passions was the outdoors. He loved riding 4-wheelers, a hobby that allowed him to experience the thrill of adventure and the beauty of nature. Hunting was another activity that brought him joy and provided an opportunity to bond with friends and family. Trace was also an avid truck enthusiast, spending countless hours working on vehicles with his buddies. These moments of camaraderie and shared interest were some of the happiest times in his life.
Family was at the heart of everything Trace did. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones, especially at the lake where they created many cherished memories together. Trace's role as an uncle to his nephew Tate and niece Laramie brought him immense joy. He loved playing with them, always eager to bring smiles to their faces and create fun-filled memories. His gentle and playful nature made him a favorite among his young relatives, who adored their Uncle Trace.
Trace's kindness and willingness to help others extended beyond his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, embodying the spirit of generosity and compassion. Whether it was helping a neighbor with yard work or supporting a friend through a difficult time, Trace's heart of gold shone through in his actions.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mel Cook and VC Davidson, and his uncle Bryan Davidson, whose memories he cherished deeply. Trace is survived by his loving parents, Greg and Shelly Davidson, who were his constant source of strength and support.
His brother Wyatt and wife Tera, and sister Bradleigh, shared a close bond with Trace, one that was built on love, trust, and shared experiences. His nephew Tate and niece Laramie will forever hold the special moments they shared with their uncle close to their hearts. Trace's grandmothers, Barbara Davidson and Karen Cook, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, were an integral part of his life, providing a network of love and support.
A funeral service to celebrate Trace's life will be held on Monday, June 17th, at 11 am at the Choctaw Road Baptist Church. In honor of Trace's generous spirit, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Grand County EMS, an organization that embodies the spirit of helping others, much like Trace did throughout his life.
