Noah graduated from John P. Stevens High School in Edison in 2022. Throughout his high school years, Noah was known for his enthusiasm, dedication, and active involvement in various extracurricular activities.
One of his earliest commitments was joining the Cub Scouts in the first grade, an organization that laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to community service and leadership. His journey with the Boy Scouts was marked by numerous achievements and milestones, culminating in earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
This accomplishment is the highest honor in Boy Scouts, requiring significant merit and dedication. It is a testament to Noah's character, reflecting his perseverance, leadership skills, and commitment to making a positive impact on his community.
After high school, Noah continued his academic and personal growth at Rutgers University, where he was a sophomore majoring in criminal justice. This field of study was particularly meaningful to Noah, as it allowed him to follow in the footsteps of his uncle, Robert Laureano, who served as an inspiration and role model throughout his life.
Noah's choice of major underscored his desire to contribute to society through a career in criminal justice, where he hoped to make a difference in the lives of others by upholding the principles of justice and law.
At Rutgers, Noah became a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, where he built lasting friendships and engaged in various fraternity activities that further developed his leadership and teamwork skills. The fraternity community provided Noah with a sense of belonging and support, and he was an active and respected member who positively influenced his peers.
Noah is survived by his loving parents, Peter and Andrea Koenig, and his younger brother, Eric Koenig. The Koenig family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and the community during this difficult time. They remember Noah as a compassionate, driven, and vibrant young man whose legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A gathering to honor and celebrate Noah's life is scheduled for Monday, June 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dangler Funeral Home, located at 600 Speedwell Ave. in Morris Plains. All those who knew and loved Noah are invited to attend and share their memories and stories, offering comfort and support to one another. This gathering will be a time to reflect on Noah's remarkable journey and the indelible impact he had on the lives of many.
