We received heartbreaking news this morning that Center Grove 7th Grade Social Studies teacher, Gary Robinson, affectionately known to the kids as G-Rob, passed away peacefully in his sleep last night.

The students had the honor of having him as a teacher during the final year he taught at CGMSC. Originally planning to retire the year prior, he decided to continue teaching because COVID hit and he wanted to end his career on a positive note, not on the challenging circumstances of the pandemic.

Claire adored him, and he was loved and respected by so many in our CG community. Mr. Robinson was not just an amazing teacher, but also a dedicated school board member and a remarkable human being. 

His passion for teaching and his commitment to his students left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. 

He was deeply devoted to the Lord, cherished his family, and held a special place in his heart for the CG community. 

His loss is profoundly felt, and we are covering his precious family in prayer during this difficult time. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for education will continue to inspire all who knew him.
