Three people were killed in a suspected murder-suicide early Saturday in Coweta County, Georgia, according to authorities.

Deputies responded to multiple emergency calls shortly after 1 a.m. and discovered two bodies in the driveway and one in the doorway of a house on Crabapple Court, the county sheriff’s office reported.

As deputies arrived on the scene, a fourth person ran into the residence. Shortly after, a gunshot was heard, as indicated in a post on X by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

A SWAT team was called to secure the area. Upon entering the home, police found the body of the fourth person. The sheriff’s office is investigating the incident as a murder-suicide.

One of the victims has been identified as Tina Elaine Sasser.

Brandi Wright, a neighbor, shared her experience with NBC affiliate WXIA of Atlanta. She initially mistook the loud noise she heard around 12:30 a.m. for thunder. “I live right around the corner,” she said. “It’s just crazy. You can’t even stay safe in your own home anymore.”

The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office stated that it would provide additional information as the investigation continues.
