Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio tragically lost his life in a shooting incident in Tampa early Sunday, as confirmed by his attorney Lewis Fusco to News4JAX. Charles Jones, known by his stage name Julio Foolio, was celebrating his 26th birthday weekend at an Airbnb when the incident occurred.
According to Fusco, the Airbnb gathering became overcrowded, prompting the group to relocate. Julio Foolio later checked into a Holiday Inn, where he was fatally ambushed in what appears to be a targeted attack.
Tampa Police, in their statement, indicated that the victim is believed to be Charles Jones pending formal identification by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The shooting also resulted in injuries to three others, all currently receiving treatment in stable condition at a hospital.
