Sammy Teusch Suicide : Sammy Teusch Obituary : Indiana boy, 10, kills himself after suffering horrific bullying

The family of a 10-year-old Indiana child who committed suicide claimed to have alerted authorities at least 20 times in the past year due to the persistent bullying the boy endured at school. According to Sammy Teusch's family, the fourth-grader at Greenfield Intermediate School committed suicide on May 5 after enduring relentless bullying.

He was held in his arms, his dad Sam Teusch said to DailyPulseReport. "Whenever I shut my eyes, the memory of what I did fills my mind. It's something no father should ever have to endure." The bullying that began last year when Sammy was in elementary school began, according to Sam and Nichole, his parents. They claimed to have reported to the school about it around twenty times.

They started by making fun of his spectacles, and then they moved on to his teeth. According to his dad, it lasted quite a while. "The students assaulted him on the school bus, causing him to lose his spectacles and other belongings," he recounted. I wanted to know what the school was doing, so I phoned them.

"It can only get worse," the father asserted. Dr. Harold Olin, the administrator of the school system, denied that the youngster or his parents had ever reported bullying.

Without going into detail due to confidentiality restrictions, he did admit that the school's counsellor and administration had several contacts with the family during the year. According to the schoolboy's family, their concerns had been adequately voiced.

This was known to them. According to the parents, "they knew this was going on.". Cynthia Teusch, Sammy's grandma, was irate with the school district because of its purported zero-tolerance policy about bullying.

She told DailyPulseReport that people can't merely claim zero tolerance and expect others to follow suit; doing so implies they are denying responsibility for bullying, not that there is zero tolerance for bullying in general. "People used to have faith in the school, but now they don't."

Nichole, the boy's mother, thinks her son committed himself because he was too terrified to attend school due to the persistent bullying, which culminated in an unnamed event in a restroom last week. I cherished him as my own son. For me, he was like a little baby. According to what she told DailyPulseReport, he was the youngest.
