With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mia Pensari, a beloved resident of Ramsey, New Jersey. Mia died on May 20, 2024. Her untimely death has left her family, friends, and the entire community in deep sorrow.
Mia was a bright and talented young woman, known for her compassionate nature and vibrant spirit. She excelled in her studies at Ramsey High School, where she was an honor roll student and an active member of the school’s drama club and soccer team. Mia’s artistic talents were evident in her love for painting and music, often filling her home with melodies from her guitar.
Her family describes Mia as a kind and empathetic individual who always went out of her way to help others. She was a loving daughter to John and Emily Pensari and a cherished sister to her younger brother, Luca. Mia’s friends remember her as a loyal and caring confidant who brought joy and laughter into their lives.
Tragically, Mia’s life ended in suicide, a loss that underscores the importance of mental health awareness and support. Her family has bravely chosen to share this difficult truth in the hope that it might encourage others to seek help and support in times of need.
A memorial service to honor Mia’s life will be held on June 1, 2024, at St. Paul’s Church in Ramsey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to mental health organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
Mia’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, her kindness, and the light she brought into the world. May she rest in peace.
