The tragic incident that claimed the life of Libby Spangler, 35, from Springettsbury Township, unfolded in the early hours of Friday. At approximately 3:39 a.m., Spangler's vehicle collided with a utility pole in the vicinity of Stonewood and Trowbridge roads in Springettsbury Township, as reported by the York County Coroner’s Office.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain unclear, compounded by the absence of witnesses, as noted by the coroner’s office.
Upon discovery at the scene, Spangler was conscious, but her condition rapidly deteriorated during transportation to WellSpan York Hospital, according to statements from the coroner’s office. Tragically, despite medical efforts, she was pronounced deceased at 4:56 a.m. that Friday morning.
