Baton Rouge Motorcycle Accident : 4 injured after 10 motorcycles involved in wreck on I-10 in Baton Rouge, EMS says

A harrowing scene unfolded on the Baton Rouge interstate Sunday morning as ten motorcycles were involved in a devastating wreck, leaving four individuals injured, confirmed by an EMS official.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. on I-10 Westbound, near the vicinity of Dalrymple Drive, revealed EMS spokesperson Brad Harris.

The aftermath of the collision resulted in three individuals being rushed to nearby medical facilities. Among them, two are reported to be in serious condition, while the third is currently in stable condition. Remarkably, a fourth injured person opted to decline medical assistance.

As emergency response teams tirelessly worked to manage the fallout from the accident, the left lane of I-10 West before Dalrymple Drive remained obstructed as of 9 a.m., according to updates provided by the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD). However, previously closed lanes have since been reopened, albeit amidst lingering congestion that extends towards the I-10 and I-12 split.

This remains a developing story, with authorities and first responders continuing their efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of all affected individuals. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

For those traveling in the area, exercise caution and patience, and adhere to any instructions or detours provided by traffic authorities.
