Alexander Dennis Massachusetts Death : Alex Dennis Obituary : Fairfield University Student Alexander Dennis Dies In Car Accident

The passing of one of our students, Alexander Dennis '25, is something that we are sharing with a great deal of sorrow. In the moment that the car accident took place, Alex had just finished his junior year here on campus and was on his way back to Massachusetts for the summer.

Alex went to the College of Arts and Sciences and majored in visual and performing arts. He had a particular interest in film while he was a student there. A loss of this magnitude seems inconceivable at a time of the year when we are vigorously engaged in the celebration of our students and the achievements they have achieved.

Alex's passing will have a particularly profound effect on those who knew and loved him, and the campus as a whole will be suffering from his absence. In addition to members of the staff from Campus Ministry and the Counseling Center, our Jesuit colleagues are also available to our community.

While this is going on, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) could be a useful resource for employees as well. -Dr. Mark R. Nemec, President of the Senate When the students return to campus in the fall, we will make it a priority to make arrangements for a community gathering to commemorate Alex's life.

  1. He didn't die in an accident, he drove his car for several miles against the traffic and killed 3 very important people. My aunt, my uncle and a cousin. My aunt has a son who is handicapped and now he is abandoned without anybody to take care of him. There is NOTHING to celebrate about Alexander Denis other than he was just a fool and a murdered, inept and incompetent to say the least. He is someone who should not be imitated, he was the type of person no one should be.
