Regate Valleyfield Accident Today - Rider François Leroux Injured In Régates de Valleyfield Accident After His White Regatta Flipper

The Régates de Valleyfield, a prominent hydroplane racing event, faced an unexpected and unfortunate interruption as the last races were permanently canceled. 

The decision came after rider François Leroux was critically injured following a dramatic flip of his regatta. 


The incident occurred during one of the races when Leroux's white regatta overturned, leading to his severe injuries. 

He was promptly rushed to Valleyfield Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The organizers, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the participants and the emotional impact of the incident, decided to halt the event. 

This tragic turn of events has cast a shadow over the festivities, emphasizing the inherent risks involved in high-speed water sports.
