Michael Joseph Elliott, age 62, of Fancy Farm, passed away at 9:12 AM on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Fancy Farm. Michael, affectionately known as Mike, was a cherished member of the St. Jerome Catholic Church, a dedicated carpenter, and a proud 1980 graduate of Fancy Farm High School.

Born on April 3, 1962, in Fancy Farm, Mike was the embodiment of a hardworking, community-oriented individual. His life was deeply rooted in his faith and his dedication to his craft. 

As a lifelong member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Mike’s commitment to his faith was unwavering. He was actively involved in various church activities and was known for his kind-hearted nature and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.


Mike's career as a carpenter spanned over four decades, during which he built not only structures but also lasting relationships with those he worked with. His meticulous attention to detail and his passion for his work were evident in every project he undertook. He was respected by his peers and valued for his craftsmanship and work ethic.

A proud alumnus of Fancy Farm High School, Mike maintained close ties with his classmates and participated in numerous school reunions and community events. His high school years were marked by friendships that lasted a lifetime, and he often reminisced about the fond memories he created during that time.

Outside of his professional and community commitments, Mike was a devoted family man. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones, and his home was always a place of warmth and welcome. He enjoyed simple pleasures such as fishing, gardening, and sharing stories with friends and family.

Michael Joseph Elliott is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Ann, his children, grandchildren, and a large extended family. His legacy of faith, hard work, and community service will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
