Attorney Brian Poe, the esteemed founder and owner of Brian D. Poe, Attorney at Law in Fort Worth, Texas, has passed away. Renowned as a top-ranked trial attorney, Mr. Poe brought over 13 years of dedicated legal experience, providing exceptional counsel to clients throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex who were accused or under investigation for various criminal offenses, both felonies and misdemeanors.


Before embarking on his career in criminal defense, Mr. Poe dedicated more than a decade as a prosecutor. He served as an assistant district attorney with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and later as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Texas. 

In these capacities, he tried over 100 criminal cases in state courts and numerous others in federal courts, acquiring invaluable trial experience and deep insights into the criminal justice system. 

This extensive prosecutorial background significantly enhanced his defense strategies, resulting in a notable record of successful outcomes for his clients in cases ranging from DUI and drug possession to white-collar crimes and capital offenses.

Mr. Poe graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and obtained his Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2007. He was admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts in Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
