This alarming footage captures the moment when two individuals placed a watch dealer in a chokehold inside his London store before robbing him. The incident occurred at a dealership in the affluent area of Richmond in west London, approximately at 2:50 pm yesterday. The perpetrators swiftly fled the scene with a substantial haul of watches.
Authorities confirmed that the assailants were unarmed but physically assaulted the staff member before making off with a quantity of high-value watches. Fortunately, the victim sustained no serious injuries during the altercation at the shop on Kew Road.
The chilling CCTV footage reveals one of the robbers immobilizing the dealer in a headlock while the other proceeds to gather watches from the shelves into a bag. Initially, the pair is seated opposite the victim, who appears to be servicing a white watch for them. One individual, dressed in a grey hoodie and torn blue jeans, sits on an orange seat, while the other, sporting blue jeans, a blue and white t-shirt, and sunglasses atop his head, leans over the desk as the victim attends to the timepiece.
Suddenly, the standing perpetrator grabs the dealer by both arms, forcefully shoving him across the room in his chair into a corner. Seizing the opportunity, his accomplice swiftly heads to a counter in the store, scooping up items while maintaining the chokehold.
Despite the dealer's attempts to break free, the individual with sunglasses tightens his grip to prevent any escape. Helplessly, the staff member observes as the other robber stuffs the watches into a bag held by his accomplice.
As the victim ceases resistance, the robber continues to fill the rucksack with items from the store's shelves, even snatching a few from the table where the dealer was initially working. Throughout the ordeal, the man with sunglasses appears to converse with the victim while maintaining a firm grip.
Meanwhile, the other perpetrator continues to add to the loot, opening cabinets and drawers to retrieve more watches. At one point, he appears overwhelmed and drops an item onto the shop floor.
Eventually, the pair seems satisfied with their plunder. Following a gesture from the individual with sunglasses, the other robber retrieves zip ties from the rucksack and places them on the table before the video concludes.
The Metropolitan Police have appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the two individuals involved. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities or Crimestoppers anonymously.
