Torin Myer Union Dale PA Obituary : Torin Robert Myer Death : US Marine Died While Working On His Dream Home

Torin Robert Myer, aged 35, from Union Dale, was unexpectedly taken from us on Saturday, May 25, while diligently working on his cherished dream home for his beloved wife and children. No words can fully encapsulate the depth of loss felt by the countless individuals who knew and cherished him.


Born in Morristown, NJ, Torin graduated from Forest City Regional High School, pursued studies at East Stroudsburg University, and later served as a proud US Marine before establishing his life in the area.

Torin found immense pleasure in hunting, fishing, golf, volleyball, and shooting pool, but his greatest source of happiness was spending time with his dear family, friends, and particularly his Forest City companions, whom he considered as close as siblings. Above all, nothing brought him more joy than being with his devoted wife Jessica and their beautiful daughters, Sedona and Piper.

As the founder and dedicated leader of East Mountain Construction Company, Torin worked tirelessly, earning admiration for his unwavering determination and zest for life. He was deeply loved and cherished by many for his boundless generosity and willingness to extend a helping hand, regardless of the circumstances. Torin epitomized the values of kindness and compassion, serving as a shining example of how we should treat one another.

Torin is survived by his wife, Jessica Myer (nee Strickland), his daughters Sedona Alice and Piper Jane Myer, his parents Tim and Cathy Myer of Union Dale, his twin brother Taylor Myer (married to Kelly) of Nicholson, his brothers Jeffrey Youells (married to Ashley) of Tunkhannock, Justin Youells of Temple, MO, Travis Myer of CA, his in-laws Brad and Penny Strickland of Union Dale, Cassidy and Brian Robinson of Union Dale, his grandparents Robert Myer of NJ, Ida Strickland of Union Dale, Carol Raymond of NJ, his mother Tracy Collins of CA, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, located at 513 Main Street, Forest City. A celebration of Torin's life will be held on Friday, commencing at 11 am at Chet's Place in Union Dale.
