Police in Scotland are seeking assistance in locating a father and his 12-year-old son, who have gone missing during a hillwalking trip in the picturesque Scottish Highlands. Tom Parry, aged 49, and his son Richie were expected to return to their residence in Cheshire on Wednesday following their exploration of Glen Nevis and Glencoe.
Their journey took a concerning turn when their vehicle was discovered in the Three Sisters car park in Glencoe, where they had halted on Tuesday to embark on their hillwalking adventure.
Inspector Craig Johnstone of Police Scotland has emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, “Tom and Richie have not returned home as planned, and extensive searches and inquiries are ongoing in the Glencoe area to locate them as soon as possible.”
Authorities urge anyone who may have encountered or communicated with the missing duo to come forward promptly with any relevant information. Mr. Parry is described as approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with brown and grey curly hair.
He may be identifiable by his black and orange jacket. Richie, on the other hand, is roughly 5ft tall, with a slim build and light-brown hair. He could potentially be wearing a bright orange jacket.
