Sondra Bell Simpson, Kansas Obituary : Sondra Bell Death : Registered Nurse Sondra Bell Killed In Farming Accident

Sondra Renee Bell, born on October 24th, 1976, at the age of 47, departed from this world on May 28th, 2024, doing what brought her profound joy—assisting on the farm and ranch. As the youngest of four daughters to Larry and Sharon Dohe, Sondra's life was a testament to the beauty of hard work, compassion, and an unwavering love for nature's creatures.

Her journey began in Sylvan Grove, where she graduated from high school in 1995. From a tender age, Sondra found solace and purpose in the rhythms of farm life, tending to her cherished horses, Bob and Sorrely. Fuelled by her innate affinity for animals, she pursued her passion at Colby College, earning a degree as a Veterinary Technician. For 13 years, she graced the halls of Ellsworth Animal Hospital, offering tender care and empathy to creatures of all shapes and sizes.

Yet, Sondra's heart was vast, and her desire to serve extended beyond the realm of veterinary medicine. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a boundless capacity for compassion, she embarked on a new chapter, obtaining her Associates as a Registered Nurse. For 14 years, she bestowed the same gentle touch and unwavering dedication upon humanity's ailments, leaving an indelible mark on all whose lives she touched.

To those who knew her, Sondra was a beacon of light—a testament to perseverance, determination, and a quick wit that could brighten even the darkest of days. Her love of horses was surpassed only by her adoration for her great nieces and nephews, whom she delighted in showering with affection. And who could forget her beloved "tame fat cows," a source of endless amusement and joy on the family farm.

On July 9th, 2021, Sondra exchanged vows with her best friend, Tim Bell, embarking on a new journey filled with love and companionship. Though previously married to Tim Lyne, from whom she shared two beautiful children, Mackenzie Lyne (Taylor Greenhaw) and Jordan Lyne, Sondra's capacity for love knew no bounds, extending to her extended family, friends, and all who crossed her path.

Survived by her devoted husband, children, parents, sisters—Wyvonne, Angela, and Darlene—grandmother Catherine Seyfert, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law Chris, sister-in-law Amy Bell, and countless friends, Sondra's legacy will endure through the memories she created and the lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, May 31st, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove, where Sondra's spirit will be celebrated and cherished. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held, offering an opportunity for all who loved her to pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Sondra Bell Scholarship Fund, ensuring that her legacy of compassion and service continues to inspire future generations.
