Octavia Marie-Madeleine Reese passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, and our hearts are broken by this heartbreaking news. Octavia, who resided in Chicago, Illinois, was a strong and powerful influence. 

Only the ferocity with which she loved life and the people with whom she shared this life was more impressive than her incomparable skills and talents as an artist, novelist, singer, tech inventor, content producer, digital strategist, dancer, and entrepreneur. 

Her passion for life and the people she shared it with was the only thing that could compare to her. A dedicated mother, friend, muse, truth-teller, time traveller, explorer, and connection, she was also a time traveller, an explorer, and a connector. 

In Michigan, Octavia was a magical woman. Her family was the one we had picked. Our lives were altered irrevocably by the fact that we knew her, and they continue to be altered irrevocably by the fact that she has left our physical plane.
