Marilyn Turner Obituary : Marilyn Turner and John Kelly Death : Longtime WXYZ weathercaster Marilyn Turner dies at 93

It was confirmed to 7 News Detroit by Marilyn Turner's family that she had passed away. Marilyn Turner was a renowned figure at WXYZ Channel 7. 

At the beginning of his career, Turner worked as a weathercaster for Channel 7 throughout the decade of the 1970s. Over the course of the succeeding twenty years, she and her husband John Kelly hosted the popular talk show "Kelly and Company" on WXYZ Television as well as "Good Afternoon Detroit." 

Both of these shows were shown on WXYZ Television. When our station celebrated its 60th year in 2008, Turner made his way back to Broadcast House to serve as the anchor of our newscast at seven o'clock, alongside Kelly and Bill Bonds. 

This was done in conjunction with the celebration of our station's anniversary. At that point in time, Turner was 93 years old. In the year 2016, she had reached the age of 88 when she passed away.
