David Shirinian, a 16-year-old known for his warm, lingering hugs, was tragically killed in a collision while riding his mini bike in Vaughan. His mother, Sabrina, reminisced about his affectionate nature and how he would always embrace her when she opened her arms. The accident occurred late at night near Martin Grove Road and Jackman Crescent, and David was pronounced dead at the hospital.


The community has been deeply affected by David’s death, raising over $73,000 for his mother and sister, and creating a memorial at the crash site. Friends and family have shared fond memories of David, describing him as a cheerful and respectful young man who enjoyed history, science, and spending time with friends. He worked part-time at a local grocery store and had a close relationship with his younger sister, Ava.

Harnoor Chauhan, the driver involved in the collision, has been charged with dangerous operation causing death and several other offenses. He was already out on bail for unrelated charges when the incident occurred.

In the wake of David's death, his friends have been supporting his family by selling custom T-shirts and offering help with daily chores. Sabrina expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, noting the kindness and solidarity from friends and strangers alike.
