Curt Cook, aged 36, formerly of Wildwood, departed from this world on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his residence in Zion. His journey began on November 28, 1987, in Lake Forest, IL. From a young age, Curt displayed resilience and courage, spending a week each summer at Juvenile Diabetes camp, where he not only confronted but embraced his condition.
Graduating from Warren Township High School in 2006, Curt's involvement in the choir highlighted his enduring passion for music and musical theater, a love that remained steadfast throughout his adult life.
A fervent motorcycle enthusiast, Curt found solace and camaraderie among his fellow riders, whom he regarded as an extended family. His unwavering loyalty and fiery devotion to his loved ones defined him, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Curt leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his parents, Reid Cook and Linda Cook; his sister, Leah Quinn; his brother, Karl Cook; his grandfather, Romain 'Bud' Howlett; and his adoring nephews, Anthony and Brenden Quinn. While his departure leaves a void, Curt now reunites with his grandparents, Peggy Cook, Louis Cook, and Olive Howlett, in eternal peace.
A visitation to honor Curt's memory will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, May 18th, 2024, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, located at 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. As family, friends, and loved ones gather to pay their respects, Curt's spirit will be celebrated, his memory cherished, and his legacy honored.
