Caidyn Harrington Alabaster AL Obituary : Caidyn Harrington Death : Alabaster mourning loss of Thompson student Caidyn Harrington

The Alabaster community and the student body of Thompson High School are deeply saddened by the loss of one of their own, Caidyn Harrington, who passed away on Monday, May 27, at the age of 15.

Harrington, a member of the Thompson High School baseball program, played for the freshman team during the 2024 season and had recently completed his freshman year at THS. His untimely passing has stirred emotions throughout the program, including head coach Frankie Perez, who expressed his grief, saying, "Heartbreaking news!

We lost a brother and a son of the Warrior family... The Warriors will forever have a guardian angel. Our opponents will now play against 10 players on the field not nine! We will always remember No. 7! We love you Caidyn! Warrior For Life! Until we meet again my son."

Described as outgoing and family-oriented, Harrington had a passion for baseball, deer hunting, and spending time with friends, as noted in his obituary.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 3, at 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., both to be held at Church of the Highlands’ Alabaster campus. Attendees are requested to wear Thompson Warrior attire or black and red or maroon clothing in honor of his fondness for Thompson and Mississippi State baseball. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be sent to the First Baptist Church Alabaster student ministry or Thompson High School baseball program.

Despite the heavy hearts, the THS baseball program paid tribute to Harrington from May 28-30 during their annual baseball camp, aiming to inspire the next generation with the same love for the sport that he possessed.
