Case Farms Reaches One Million Man-Hours Without Accident

Case Farms, a local poultry farming and processing group, has recently achieved a significant safety milestone at its Goldsboro processing facility.

On March 30, they celebrated reaching one million man-hours without experiencing any Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable lost-time accidents (LTAs).

This accomplishment speaks volumes about the dedication and commitment of the entire Goldsboro team to maintaining a safe workplace environment.

Jared Birchum, the Complex Safety Manager at the Goldsboro location, expressed his pride in the team's achievement, emphasizing the importance of each team member's commitment to safety.

Tyler Parlier, the regional safety manager of North Carolina Divisions, also commended the team's efforts and highlighted the role of a strong safety culture in ensuring continued success.

Case Farms has seen similar success at other facilities, with the Morganton Complex reaching the two and three million man-hour marks, and the Winesburg facility achieving the two and three million man-hour marks as well.

These milestones underscore the company's unwavering focus on safety across its operations.

Looking ahead, Eldredge Chandler, Assistant Plant Manager of the Goldsboro facility, reiterated the company's commitment to safety and expressed gratitude to everyone involved in achieving this milestone.

He emphasized that safety remains the top priority for Case Farms, and they are dedicated to pursuing further accomplishments in this regard.

In addition to the efforts of its employees, Case Farms implements a comprehensive company-wide worker safety program, which plays a crucial role in maintaining a strong safety and health program throughout the organization.
